Rising Together, Stronger Than Ever – The Soundtrack of Rebuilding.

Dearest Am Yisroel,

I am so pleased to present you with this new collection of songs that express our collective avodah of paving the way for Moshiach.

In our post October 7th world, many of our perspectives have shifted. We have seen pain and sorrow, but also yearning and closeness. I offer you these compositions, some new and some familiar, to help put words and harmony to the various emotions and feelings that we collectively experience as we engage with a world that is becoming ever more ready for it’s final redemption. Hashem loves each of us so dearly and has blessed us with the ability to quite literally change the world.

Personally, working on this album has been part of a transformative journey for me and with these songs I endeavor to express an evident truth: our community is yearning so deeply for an honest, authentic relationship with Hashem and at this critical moment in our history we are connecting to each other on the deepest of levels. We are breaking down the false walls that divide us and rebuilding in their place, beautiful structures of unity and love.

We must continue with our mission of being a light for the entire world by bringing Hashem into everything that we do.

Let us all, together, Rebuild Again!

Shivat Tzion
Ft. Israel Portnoy

This song draws from the timeless words of Dovid Hamelech in Tehillim 126, capturing the profound sense of joy and renewal that comes with the fulfillment of our deepest hopes. It reflects on the collective dream of returning to Tzion, where the pain of exile is replaced with laughter and songs of praise.
The song speaks to a moment of transformation, where the impossible becomes reality, our long-held prayers are answered, and where our mouths are filled with laughter and joyous song, as we witness the dawn of a new era.

Fire

Sfas Emes says that one of the terms for the Jewish nation is Am Yisorel. The root of the word Am is the the same as the word Omamot- to smolder. The nature of Am yisroel is at times we may appear to be a cold, and lifeless like an old coal in the fire. But when we have the right motivation, wind or heat suddenly we flare up. The fire, the the song is referring to is the Aish pnimi, the fire inside. Sometimes it appears that it’s gone out, but it’s always there, it just needs the right fuel to get it going

הִנֵּה מַה טּוֹב וּמַה נָּעִים שֶׁבֶת אַחִים גַּם יָחַד

This song reflects the powerful message of unity and brotherhood, a theme that Reb Yussie Zakutinsky has passionately championed since one of the darkest moments in our history. In the wake of unimaginable tragedy, Reb Yussie has emphasized that our strength lies in coming together, standing united as a single, cohesive community. He has inspired many to see brotherhood not just as an ideal, but as a tangible force that can combat the darkness in the world. Through this message, we are reminded that in unity, we find the resilience to overcome any challenge.

Shabbos Yom Menucha

Is there a greater gift than Shabbos ?! How lucky are we that every Shabbos we get to turn off the outside world and reconnect with family and friends, with ourselves, and with our Creator. Chazal teach us that Shabbos is the Mekor Habracha, the source of all blessing in the world. This blessing comes because on this holy day the entire world and all of Hashem’s creations are elevated to entire new levels of existence. Shabbos is Heilig and Shabbos is Lechtig! This song reminds us to “Sing to the World, Good Shabbos”. When we remember and cherish the priceless gifts that Shabbos brings, we can all become in-tune and hear the world singing with us “Good Shabbos”!!❤️

Shivisi
Ft. Chaim Ghoori

שִׁוִּיתִי ה’ לְנֶגְדִּי תָמִיד
“Shivisi” is a deeply meditative and spiritual song born out of the study and contemplation of the concept “Shivisi HaShem L’Negdi Tamid.” This powerful phrase, the first halacha in Shulchan Aruch, teaches us to live with the constant awareness that Hashem is always present before us, guiding our every step. But penimius hatorah delves deeper, inviting you to engage in a profound meditative practice of visualizing the letters of Hashem’s name—Yud, Keh, Vav, Keh—in your daily life.

You are encouraged not just to understand this awareness intellectually, but to internalize it, to meditate on the presence of Hashem in everything. By focusing on the letters, which are the building blocks of all of creation, and seeing them clearly in your mind’s eye, the song guides you in a spiritual practice that helps you connect with the divine presence in a tangible, everyday way.
“Shivisi” is not just a song, but a tool for bringing this deep spiritual practice into our lives, helping us to feel Hashem’s presence more vividly and consistently.

Run

Inspired by the concept of Cheshbon Hanefesh, or deep introspection, "RUN" encourages listeners to confront their inner demons and embrace their vulnerabilities. The song's driving beat and urgent lyrics mirror the relentless chase we often feel in life, urging us to turn and face the internal forces that hold us back.

"This song is a call to action for anyone who has ever felt held back by fear or insecurity," says Alex Clare. "It's about recognizing the power within ourselves to overcome challenges and live a life of purpose."

In our pursuit of a life with Hashem, we often feel pursued by external forces. Yet, the true obstacles often reside within – the fears, doubts, and insecurities that hinder us from unlocking the full greatness contained in our neshama.

But by courageously confronting these internal adversaries, we discover the power to break free. Embracing vulnerability and facing our self-constructed limitations head-on allows us to transcend any obstructions and unlock our inherent greatness.

Spread Light
Ft. Matisyahu

The words of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, ZY”A , continue to resonate throughout eternity. His revolutionary approach of illuminating even the darkest places was a culmination of thousands of years of Jewish tradition. He instilled in each of us a sacred sense of purpose, empowering us to recognize our vital role in the grand narrative of history.

He taught us that we have a dual mission to fulfill: to disseminate light, love, and Hashem awareness, both externally to the world as well as internally in the deepest recesses of our own hearts. This is our mission, to bring the promise of Moshiach to every corner of the world.

The tune for this song is so profoundly holy, that traditionally it is only sung by young children on Shabbos morning. Many times the meaning is lost through tunes that may not exactly capture the essence of what the words are trying to say. The Lubavitcher Rebbe, may his merit protect us, composed this tune and reportedly it was brought down into the world originally by a Jew who was exemplary in the acts of Mesiras Nefesh, self-sacrifice, to help save another Jewish person's life. Tradition has it that although he wasn't successful in saving the person he went out to save, his Mesiras Nefesh and willingness to sacrifice everything to save another person was such that he was gifted this melody from the supernal worlds.
This melody is of profound importance and power and for me the tune really exemplifies the meaning of the words of Nafshi Hamda Betzel Yadecha, my soul craves the shadow of Hashem.

This new rendition of “Anim Zemiros” brings renewed focus to the profound themes embedded in its timeless words. Known as the ‘Song of Glory,’ “Anim Zemiros” reflects the deep yearning of the soul to praise and honor Hashem with heartfelt devotion. We focus on the personal aspect of this service, on each persons unique ability to bring out something, that only they can, in their service of Hashem.
